Policies

Safeguarding

Keeping children and young people safe is a priority in everything we do.

This policy is being finalised. Some details are still to be confirmed. If you have any questions in the meantime, please email Admin@gradepoweracademy.co.uk.

Our commitment

Grade Power Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every student we work with. Lessons take place online, and we follow practices designed to keep tuition transparent and safe.

Transparent communication

Where appropriate, communication takes place in a dedicated WhatsApp group that includes the parent or guardian, the student and the tutor. This keeps parents informed, helps avoid private one-to-one messaging between tutors and students, and supports transparency.

Online lessons

  • Lessons take place on established platforms such as Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Google Classroom.
  • Lesson arrangements are agreed with the parent or guardian.
  • Lesson recording: [To be confirmed: whether lessons are recorded, and if so how recordings are stored and shared].

Tutor checks

[To be confirmed: background checks held by tutors (for example DBS) and how they are verified]

Raising a concern

If you have a safeguarding concern, please contact our designated safeguarding lead: [To be confirmed: name and contact details], or email Admin@gradepoweracademy.co.uk.

If a child is in immediate danger, call 999. You can also contact the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000, or your local authority children’s services.
